New hospital set to open in Qatar in 2022

A US-based hospital is set to branch out and build a new hospital in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

Elegancia Healthcare has signed an agreement with Cedars-Sinai to build a new facility in the Al Qutaifiya area of the city by 2022.

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles is one of the biggest non-profit hospitals in the US. It has over 2,100 physicians, 2,800 nurses and 880 beds.

In a landmark deal, Doha is the latest location for the hospital group to branch out to as it now cares for people in more than 40 locations around the world.

The hospital will hold over 250 beds and span approximately 95,000m2.

It will look after around 23,000 inpatients and more than 300,000 outpatients each year.

There will be six presidential suites, nine ambassador suits, 50 VIP suits and state-of-the-art operating rooms.

“We will strive to lead in this vital sector through our exclusive partnership with Cedar-Sinai. Together, we look forward to adding value to our community for generations.”
